Print... LARGE

What's the deal with large print?
It seems that over the years, people have had a love/hate affair with large print book editions.
Yes, the font size in large print books makes the item readable, but, for many, the uninspiring, (even if the are colour coded by genre) hard covers and cheap paper have not been synonymous with the delicious pleasure derived from reading.

Thankfully, publishers have seen the light (in large font too!) and our latest large print books have soft, beautifully colourful covers and better quality paper, all designed to lure you in.
Don't think you judge a book by it's cover? We think you might...which is why you should visit.
Come and be tempted with our latest large print books.
They aren't just for the visually challenged amongst us.

The Wingecarribee Community

Libraries have evolved over the years. Now very much valued as community spaces, a bonus for library patrons is the exhibits and promotions we display along with our traditional collections.
Over the month of August, Bowral Library exhibited some of the Keep Hope Alive artworks painted by local Southern Highlands residents. Not every artist was professional, but every artwork was personal and emotive. The artworks were auctioned by Southern Highlands Amnesty International and this week we received the following letter of thanks for exhibiting the works.

So from the library staff to the artists, thank you. To our our community, thank you, and to Alan for donating the display board to us, thank you.
