The Wingecarribee Community

Libraries have evolved over the years. Now very much valued as community spaces, a bonus for library patrons is the exhibits and promotions we display along with our traditional collections.
Over the month of August, Bowral Library exhibited some of the Keep Hope Alive artworks painted by local Southern Highlands residents. Not every artist was professional, but every artwork was personal and emotive. The artworks were auctioned by Southern Highlands Amnesty International and this week we received the following letter of thanks for exhibiting the works.

 

So from the library staff to the artists, thank you. To our our community, thank you, and to Alan for donating the display board to us, thank you.
